01. About Me

Hello! My name is Manuel and I enjoy creating things that live on the internet. My interest in web development started back in 2018 when I decided to try creating a basic landing page — turns out creating tables and buttons taught me a lot about HTML & CSS!

Fast-forward to today, and I’ve had the privilege of working at a Fiber Optics Company, a start-up, a service rendering mobile company, and an already existing company I joined. My main focus these days is building accessible, inclusive products and digital experiences at Instant Fiber for users while honing other skills like python to get better at.

02. Where I've Worked

React Native Developer @ Cardic

December 2025 - Present

  • ▸Engineered a modular 6-level KYC verification system integrating BVN and NIN verification, secure document uploads(Government IDs, Utility Bills), and persistent state logic to manage sequential compliance workflows.
  • ▸Built a digital asset trading interface for Gift Cards and Crypto with real-time pricing using a Live Rate Calculator and efficient data synchronization via RTK Query.
  • ▸Implemented real-time trade updates and in-app chat using Socket.io and Firebase Cloud Messaging, improving transaction transparency and user interaction.
  • ▸Strengthened platform security by integrating biometric authentication (Fingerprint/FaceID) and secure local storage with MMKV and Encrypted Storage for sensitive data protection.
  • ▸Developed a high-performance mobile UI with React Native, responsive design systems, push notifications, referral features, and optimized navigation using React Navigation and Reanimated.
